Used Orange OR50H Guitar Amplifier Head with Road Case
Here's a rare find in the world of tube amplifier heads: the Orange OR50H. In 1972, Orange launched an amp that defined their sound. It was known as "The Graphic", but later dubbed the "Pics Only" due to the absence of any text, instead using pictures only on the front panel of the amp. Orange Amplification re-introduced it as a limited edition in 2008 as part of their 40th Anniversary. Whilst not a reissue of those early ‘Graphic’ amplifiers, the OR50 proved to be a huge hit on account of its distinctly vintage voice. In 2012, due to overwhelming public demand, it was reissued as the OR50H (without the "40th Anniversary" on the front panel, so it has the exact same appearance as the original).
Featuring a traditional single channel layout, 50 Watts of output and a three stage gain section, the real weapon in the OR50H’s arsenal is the HF Drive control. As the HF Drive increases, so does power amp presence. Beyond 3 0’clock, this control introduces an extra dimension of power amp gain for serious scream.
