Used Gretsch G6128TSP Duo Jet Black with OHSC

Used And Vintage Electric Guitars

Up on the block is this great Gretsch G6128TSP Duo Jet in Black, a killer guitar that was built in the early days of this century.  It's a model that's no longer being produced, so it can be a hard one to fine.

This is the classic semi-hollow bodied guitar that is quite a popular choice of Gretsch. Duo Jets are known for their slim contoured single-cut body that is chambered. This makes it not only lightweight and comfortable but also gives you that unique tone of a chambered body but with no f-holes to give you a guitar that is equally at home with clean or overdriven tones. The neck is a comfortable "C" shape with a resonant piece of rosewood adorned with the classic inlays.

The heart of this instrument are its two DeArmond Dyna-Sonic pickups, which are single-coils that give you the chime and twang of this iconic Gretsch. This Gretsch also features a branded Bigsby tailpiece with trem, a roller "rocking bar bridge which give you the expression you want from a Gretsch trem.

After doing some research, we found that this model has a lacquer finish.  Not every one of these does.  The signifier is the serial number - the ones starting with JD are lacquer, the ones starting with JT are not.  What we have here starts with JD.  So, it's lacquer.

This guitar is in good condition and comes with it's original hardshell case.  It's been set up to play perfectly by the techs in shop, so it's good to go!
