Up for sale we have the the King of the Flat-tops, the Gibson Custom Shop 1957 SJ-200 in Vintage Sunburst!  This guitar was originally here, just a few months ago.  Then it came back on the "be back bus" looking the same as when it was a new guitar here. The previous owner barely played it, and kept in a climate controlled, smoke-free home studio. The guitar has been setup to play perfectly by the techs in our shop. The original hardshell case is included.

The Custom Shop 1957 SJ-200 gives you the offers details such as hand-selected maple for the back and sides, a headstock stinger, and our thermally aged top for the full vintage effect.  The guitar sounds is big, powerful and rich - exactly what you'd expect.  But, it's also quite balanced across the tonal spectrum, and also easy to play.  That's not always the case with guitars of this size.  But, the master luthiers in Bozeman absolutely nailed it.

The tonewood combination of solid spruce top with beautiful flame maple back and sides provides substantial tonal richness and voluminous sound; a 2-piece maple neck with rosewood fingerboard also ensures great playability and feel for flat-picking and strumming. Countless renowned musicians, from Elvis to Keith Richards, relied on the SJ-200 for their performances and recordings, highlighting why it's long been a favorite.

Distinctive elements such as the unique floral pickguard and renowned Four Bar Moustache bridge guarantee the SJ-200 has a recognisable look and is primed for the stage.
