Pre Owned 2008 Gibson Limited Edition Guitar Of The Month Les Paul Push Tone Antique Natural With OHSC

Used And Vintage

Over the years, Gibson has made countless incredible guitars, and some very unique ones.  Every now and then, one from the past pops up again and cause us to do a double take.  That's the situation here.  Back in 2008, they did a limited edition run of 12 guitars, with each as a "Guitar of the Month".  All of them had unique features, with this one being innovative with the pickups.

As the fourth Guitar of the Month in 2008, the Les Paul Push Tone features the unique ability to push the pickups out the back of the guitar and easily swap them out with other pickups. The guitar came with Burstbucker Pros and P-94 pickups, providing a lot of tonal opportunties for the player.

Remember, the Les Paul began life with a pair of P-90s.  It eventually evolved to a dual-humbucker design. This guitar gives you the option for either, or a combination, without have to rewire the whole thing.  A Gibson-designed system allows you to push the pickups out of the guitar, disconnect the wire clips, and plug in a new set of pickups in a matter of minutes. The pickups snap into place and you're ready to go! You get a pair of Burstbuckers and a pair of humbucker-sized P-90s (P-94s).  So whatever you desire, there it is.

The Push Tone also features a AAA flame maple top, which is stunning.  It has Gibson's traditional '50s rounded neck profile, with an ebony fingerboard.  Each chord and note played has unparalleled clarity and bite. The fret wire on the Gibson models is a combination nickel and silver alloy, specifically designed for long life and superior wear. The other twist on this guitar is that the classic trapezoid inlays are made of maple, giving the Push-Tone a unique look by matching inlays to the Antique Natural finish of the maple body top.  It's beautiful.

You rarely see these out there, especially in such excellent condition.  We were thrilled to see this Les Paul Push Tone come in here.  The original hardshell case is included, as are the extra pickups.  Setup to play perfecly by the techs in our shop, this guitar is ready to go.
