Back in 2004, the Fender Custom Shop started a limited run of classic late 60's Telecasters, which proved to be a hit. Only 200 were made. This was one of the first, and it's a winner.
The guitar has a striking Firemist Silver Metallic finish with the Closet Classic treatment. That means it's aged but not trashed or relic'ed. The nitrocellulose lacquer finish has really nice checking, creating the vibe of a guitar built decades that sat unplayed for years.
The ash body is lightweight and resonant - if you need a guitar that won't weigh you down, this is a good choice, as it's only 7.2 lbs.
